Executive Director Virginia Foulkrod and Staff Attorney Cynthia Tejeda represented the Hudson Valley Justice Center at the Feeding Westchester Conference in Tarrytown on Thursday 9/19.
They presented to many organizations, politicians, community leaders, and health professionals about legal services and immigration policy. Topics discussed included current immigration matters, Public Charge rules, possible immigration benefits, family planning when facing deportation, tenants’ rights and responsibilities, and legal services for victims of domestic violence and elder abuse.
The Hudson Valley Justice Center offers direct representation and advice to low income residents of the Hudson Valley. The office currently focuses on eviction defense and other landlord-tenant disputes, domestic violence, benefits hearings for eligible citizens and immigration.
