We concluded our holiday gift drive for the Community Resource Center in Mamaroneck. These gifts were given out to the 145 graduates of various ESL courses at the End-of-Year Student Recognition Ceremony at the Community Resource Center in Mamaroneck.
The celebration at the Community Resource Center featured addresses by the Executive Director of the CRC, Jirandy Martinez and Keynote Speaker Kalekeni Banda. Banda is the Founder and CEO of Banda Bola Sports Foundation, INC and a ’71 Graduate of Mamaroneck High School. He is immigrant from Malawi, Africa.
The event also featured award presentations of the U.S House of Representatives Volunteer award to two dedicated center volunteers, as well as CRC student achievement awards. There were various presentations by the graduates of various ESL levels.
The Community Resource Center is a community-based organization that promotes the cultural, educational and professional integration of immigrants to the already established larger community and to advocate for those in need.
