Hudson Valley Justice Center Hires New Executive Director

Rob McCreanor is an attorney with more than 15 years legal practice experience, including over a decade of managing non-profit public interest organizations and civil legal services programs.  He previously served as founding executive director of the Rhode Island Center for Justice and the legal director of Catholic Migration Services, a leading provider of non-profit legal assistance to immigrants and refugees in Brooklyn and Queens, NY.  Rob has represented individuals and groups in housing, employment, consumer and immigration matters, frequently in close partnership with grassroots community organizing campaigns, and has served as lead counsel in class and collective actions, large multi-plaintiff cases and impact oriented legal advocacy initiatives.  He has instructed law school clinical programs and taught Poverty Law.  Rob also served as an Assistant District Attorney in a trial bureau of the New York County District Attorney’s Office and as a litigation associate at the law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, LLP.  Rob received his bachelors degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison and his law degree from Harvard Law School.
